ahead of the launch event, key specifications of the Nothing Phone (2) have already been disclosed by the company. Here's an overview of what we know so far about this latest device from Nothing.
Nothing Phone (2): Expected Price in India
With an expected price range of Rs 40,000 to Rs 45,000, the new 5G phone is anticipated to rival devices such as the OnePlus 11R and Pixel 7a. To provide context, the previous iteration, the Nothing Phone (1), debuted in India at a price of Rs 32,999. Once available, the Nothing Phone (2) will be obtainable through Flipkart and other platforms.
Nothing Phone (2): Confirmed Specifications
Ahead of the official launch, Nothing CEO Carl Pei has already confirmed that the Nothing Phone (2) will boast Qualcomm's top-of-the-line Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. The new 5G phone will also sport a larger display compared to its predecessor, measuring 6.7 inches and operating at Full HD+ resolution. It is expected that the company will once again employ an OLED panel for the front display, reminiscent of the Nothing Phone (1).
Moreover, Nothing has officially stated that the latest Phone (2) will receive major Android OS upgrades for a span of three years, along with four years of security patches. However, it is worth noting that this offering falls slightly short of the software support provided by Samsung for some of its mid-range phones. As an example, the recently launched Galaxy F54 is eligible for four years of Android OS updates.
Returning to the Nothing phone, the company has emphasized that the latest Nothing OS build will deliver a faster and more feature-rich user experience. It is anticipated that the device will ship with Android 13 OS out of the box, aligning with the company's practice of providing the latest operating system with its new offerings.
